Kabul Has HIV Centers now

HIV Centers in Kabul, The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has allocated $ 2 million for the Ministry of Health to establish centers for identification, consultation and assistance to drug addicts and people living with HIV / AIDS.

Ministry officials indicated that the donation will be used to create the center of Kabul and the border areas of neighboring countries, especially Pakistan and Iran for medical study of Afghan immigrants, who return to their country after years of migration. According to the Ministry of the majority of patients who were infected with HIV are among those who have returned from Iran and Pakistan.

The establishment of these centers, in their view, is to prevent the spread of the virus in Afghanistan. The main focus of providing free services and counseling for drug addicts and people affected by HIV will be based in Kabul. Furthermore, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry will be invited from other organizations in efforts to provide such services for Afghan immigrants in Iran and Pakistan.
